     Lives in Dayton, Yamhill County; has been a farmer and fruit-grower, and at
one time owned the largest orchard in the State.  He was born in New York in
1820; married in 1850 to Miss Mary J. Burns, who died in 1863.  In 1867, he
married Miss Charlotte odell.  Has four children by the first wife and five by
the second.
