SMITH Mr. Smith was born in Connecticut in 1802, and now, at the age of four-score and two years, is still a hale man, living out the latter years of a long and varied life in the town of Forest Grove. Mr. Smith left Illinois for Oregon in 1840, the year of his marriage.
