In 1849 he went to California, accompanied by his brother, W. P. Walker, also an immigrant of 1845, and labored in the mines for a short time. Took a donation claim in Spring Valley, Polk County, on which he still resides. Occupation, farming and fruit-raising; address, Zena, Polk County.
