CALEB WILKINS

     Resides four and a half miles northeast of Hillsboro, and is a farmer by
occupation.  He was born in Ohio in 1810; was for ten years a trapper in the
Rocky Mountains in the employ of the American Fur Company, and one of the
earliest pioneers of Oregon.  His first settlement in the State was in Benton
County; has held office as county treasurer of Washington County for two years.
He married Marian Stevens in 1852, and their children are -- William, Lloyd,
Alfred C., and Florence.
