Hollemon, who is the local dealer in Oakland, Pontiac and Chevrolet cars, in the handling of which he has been more than ordinarily successful. He was born at Pryor Creek, Oklahoma, in 1891, and is a son of J. J. and Martha S. (Thompson) Hollemon, the latter of whom is deceased, while the father, who is a farmer, now lives in Texas. Henry C. Hollemon secured his education in the public schools and at the age of sixteen years began, to learn the trade of a machinist in Denver, Colorado, also gaining a knowledge of automobile mechanics. He opened a repair shop there, which he operated for three years, and in 1923 came to Oregon, locating first in Portland, and in the fall of that year came to Harrisburg. He employs two people and has gained an enviable reputation in his line of business. In May, 1926, Mr. Hollemon was united in marriage to Miss Gladys Belts, of Harrisburg, a daughter of George G. Belts, who was a pioneer settler in this section of the state. Mrs. Hollemon is an active member of the Order of the Eastern. Star and Mr. Hollemon is a Mason. He is a democrat in his political views and is a member of the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce.
