Sappington; after his arrival in Oregon, settled in Yamhill county; now lives three miles east of Gaston; is a farmer by occupation. He married Lucinda Laughlin in 1857, and their children's names are -- I. M., E. B., Rosa E., W. D., Fanny, Nancy, and Henry H. Mr. Sappington served as justice of the peace in 1880, and was elected to the Legislature in 1882, and served one term.
