     Born in Buchanan County, Missouri, April 16, 1842; when four years of age
he came to Oregon and lived in Yamhill County, and now resides in Bellevue, that
county, occupied in farming.  He married Lucinda Van Buskirk in Yamhill County,
February 19, 1865, and they have one child, named Lloyd B.
