In 1845 he crossed the plains to Oregon, and practiced in this State until his death, which occurred in 1864. In Polk County, in 1846, he was married to Miss Josephine Ford, daughter of Col. Nat. Ford; by that marriage there are five children living, namely, Hannah, Rena, James, William, and Charles.
