In 1866, Mr. Levi Davis and his brother invented a combined header and thresher; it was patented in 1867, and sold in 1883. He and his father, Samuel Davis, were the incorporators of the Blue Mountain wagon road, which was built in 1865. In Marion County, June 17, 1873, he was married to Margaret A. Hunsaker, and their children's names were -- Mary E., and Earnest W., both deceased.
