LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ELIZABETH RICE (SHELY) MCAFEE JESSAMINE CO., KENTUCKY [copy sent by Byron Ames and Harriet Buckridge] I, Elizabeth [McAfee], of the County of Jessamine, State of Kentucky, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby expressly revoking any and all wills heretofore made by me. 1st. I will that all of my just debts including funeral expenses be paid by my Executor hereinafter named so soon after my death as is practicable. 2nd. I will and devise to Mrs. Julia Speigle wife of George Speigle the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars, in recognition of her kindness to me. 3rd. I will and devise to my son Lawson McAfee, six plain silver tea spoons. 4th. I will and devise to my son, Dr. Alex McAfee, my silver spoons engraved with the name of McAfee. 5th. I will and devise to my son, Arch McAfee, my bed, and the clothing thereon consisting of quilt, blanket, comfort and any other covers and bedding, which are used thereon. 6th. All of the residue of my property of every kind and description I wish converted into money, and equally divided between my sons, Arch McAfee, Lawson McAfee, Spencer McAfee and Alexander McAfee. 7th. I hereby nominate and appoint my physician and friend, Dr. D. A. Penick, Executor of my will. Witness my hand this the 23rd day of January 1915. Elizabeth McAfee. Dickerson, Clerk of the Jessamine County Court, do certify that the foregoing instrument of writing puporting to be the last will and testament of Elizabeth McAfee, deceased, was this day produced and filed in open Court and offered for probate and on motion same was continued until the 21st day of December 1915, for hearing and was this day fully proven by the oaths of Ernest Bradshaw and P. M. Sutterfield the two subscribing witnesses thereto the same was allowed, confirmed and established as and for the last will and testament of the said Elizabeth McAfee, deceased, and as such was ordered to record; Whereupon the same together with this certificate is duly recorded in my office.
