Seattle, WA, W. C. Wolfe, 1906. Dewey # B.0 Sk29W. p. 124. BURDICK, Henry P. -Lawyer; born in Warren County, Pa. in 1849; educated in the public schools of Wisconsin. Served in the Union Army as a member of the First Minnesota Heavy Artillery from November, 1864, until October, 1865. After the war he returned to his home in Wisconsin and assisted his father in the lumber and sawmill business. He subsequently studied law, was admitted to the bar in Polk County, Wis.; in 1880, after which he practiced law in Osceola for twenty-two years. He was a member of the board of county commissioners of Polk County, 1880-1882; district attorney, 1884-1887; elected member of the state assembly in 1892, and re-elected in 1894; was president of the village of Osceola for eight years; president of the school board for ten years and chairman of a board of special commissioners appointed to supervise the construction of $50,000 court house for Polk county. He removed to Tacoma in 1902 and has since been engaged in the practice of law in that city. Is a member of the law firme of DENNIS & BURDICK and of the G.A.R., Maccabees and the Masonic Fraternity.
