Hull, Lindley M., compiler and editor. "A History of Central Washington, Including the Famous Wenatchee, Entiat, Chelan and the Columbia Valleys." Spokane: Press of Shaw & Borden Co., 1929. p. 172. IVER A. LARSEN the subject of this sketch was a Californian and came to Washington in the late eighties, living for a time in the Puget Sound country, and coming to Wenatchee early in 1890. He was a carpenter and helped to build some of the first structures in the old town. In 1891 he was married to Mrs. Nancy A. Davis. Soon after this Mr. and Mrs. Larsen gave their attention to the development of the Davis homestead. Several subdivisions have been made of the original tract, the large cemetery grounds being one of them, and the twenty acres orchard planted by Robert Livingston, Sr., and now owned by the American Fruit Company with splendid improvements is another. The home place of the Larsens has a large, fine orchard, commodious house and other worth while improvements, all of which bear testimony to the thrift and industry of the builders. Mr. Larsen was a substantial citizen with an inherent respect for orderly forms of government. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Larsen, whose names follow: Iver W., Leonard A., Walter R., Pete, Anna and Hilda. Iver W. saw two years service in France during the World War. Leonard entered the service but was not sent to the front. The other boys Walter and Pete died several years ago. Mr. Larsen passed away March 3, 1921, and Mrs. Larsen died August 22, 1928. ******************* Submitted to the Washington Biographies Project in April 2009 by Diana Smith.
