Portland, Or. : Washington Publishing Co., 1885. JAMES JAMISON - Was born in Ireland, April 15, 1827, and in the spring of 1847 came to the United States. After residing in the State of New York and Ohio, in 1851 he came to California and engaged in mining until 1854. In that year he came to Washington Territory, purchased his present farm and returning to California sold his mining interests, and finally took up his residence on his property near Burnt Bridge, Clarke county.
