RUDOLPH SURBER - Was born in Switzerland, April 2, 1842, and in 1868 came to the
United States.  After residing in Wisconsin in 1875 he came to the Pacific
Coast, and finally settled in Clarke county, being largely engaged in dairying.
Married Catherine Good, and has six children, viz: Jacob, Lena, Bertha, Willie,
Charlie and Clara.
