Hull, Lindley M., compiler and editor. "A History of Central Washington, Including the Famous Wenatchee, Entiat, Chelan and the Columbia Valleys." Spokane: Press of Shaw & Borden Co., 1929. p. 295. W. J. ROBINSON Mr. Robinson came from Minnesota to the Wenatchee country near the mid-eighties, at which time he was about sixty years of age. His first location was on what is now South Okanogan Avenue, on a 160-acre tract that he later disposed of to the brothers, J. H., and J. F. Miller. In 1887, he removed to the Colockum Valley, and acquired land bordering on the creek of that name. He made very substantial improvements on the ranch which included the planting of a pear orchard; but through some misfortune, for which he was not himself responsible, he lost his place and moved away. His loss was keenly regretted by the entire community. ******************* Submitted to the Washington Biographies Project in June 2009 by Diana Smith.
