He was born December 29, 1921 in Ridgefield. He had lived in Woodland for the past 34 years and was president of the Lewis River Motor Co. He had been an elder of the Woodland Presbyterian Church. A member of the Woodland Lions Club, the Woodland Chamber of Commerce. Woodland Post VFW, the Washington Auto Dealers Association and the Chevrolet Dealer Council. Survivors include the widow, Erma, of Woodland; one son, Greg of Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Kris) Houston of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Miss Kenna Bjur of Vancouver; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Bjur of Woodland, two sisters, Mrs. Lynn (Barbara) Lehman of Chico, Calif., and Mrs. Bennie (LaRene) Wray of Ridgefield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Woodland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lee Andrews officiating. Concluding services and vault interment will be at the Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver. Those wishing to pay their respects may call the Vancouver Funeral Home before 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Those wishing to express their sympathy are invited to contribute to the Woodland Lions Club Memorial Fund in care of Forrest Taggart president or to the charity of their choice.
