Ames - Private Edwin R., 19, killed in Germany Feb 22, 1945, Born in Hood River,
Ore., on Apr 13, 1925.  Survivors include his mother; Mrs. Wilma Roney,
Chehalis; his grandmother, Mrs. Edith Griswold; Kelso; a sister, Mrs. Annette
Gilkerson, Centralia; a brother, Donald L. Ames, Kelso.  He enlisted in Army
paratroopers while a senior at Kelso High School.  Funeral services will be held
at The Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. J. S.
Nelson officiating.  Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  The
Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral home is in charge.
