She was born Nov. 12, 1920 in Cadillac, Mich., to Paul and Laura (Elliott) Nolan, and moved to the local area in 1928. Mrs Chamberlain was treasurer of the Longview Eagles Auxliary, treasurer of the wednesday Senior Bowling League, and a member of the Rolling Eagles R.V. Club. She enjoyed camping, bowling and family gatherings. She married Melvin Chamberlain Aug 12, 1948. He survives her at home. Also surviving are six daughters, Leona Johnson of Castle Rock, Donna Molt of Longview, Pamela Engelman of Moses Lake, Melvina Bozarth of Ariel, Barbara Brooke of Naches, Wash., and Ronda McCarty of Willets, Calif.; a son Rod Chamberlain of Kelso; two sisters, Louise Hollis of Eureka, Calif. and Darlene Fontaine of Vancouver; two brothers, Ivan Nolan of Aberdeen, Wash. and Donald Nolan of Long Beach; two stepbrothers, Claude Collins of Hanna, Wyo. and Monte Collins of Klamath, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and two stepsisters. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. tuesday at Steele Chapel. A gathering will follow at the Longview Eagles, 1526 12th Ave., Longview. Private interment will take place at Longview Memorial Park. Viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., monday at Steele.
