C4 Amanda Rae Cichosz, who would have been a senior at Woodland High School this fall, died in a vehicle accident near Lake Merwin on Sunday, July 14, 2002. She was 17. Amanda, who worked at the Subway restaurant in Woodland, enjoyed reading, snow boarding and studying. She attended Life Center Church in Woodland and was active in the youth group. Amanda was enrolled in the Running Start program and was a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, the Leo Club and the school dance team. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Karen and Derek Boone, at home; her father and stepmother, Aaron and Michelle Cichosz of Rapid City, S.D.; four brothers, Trevor Cichosz and Wyatt Boone, both at home, and Cody Cichosz and Joey Cichosz, both of Rapid City; four sisters, Crystal Cichosz and Daisy Boone, both at home, and Courtney Cichosz and Sydney Cichosz, both of Rapid City; grandparents, Rosa Kopman of Brush Prairie, Laila and John Cichosz of Detroit, Mich., Dolores and Dan Boone of Washougal, and Donna and Al Leonard of Vancouver. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Life Center Church in Woodland. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
