OBITUARY - KENNETH CHAMBERLAIN Submitted by: Leona Johnson, bell_crazy2000 at yahoo dot com Source: "Longview Daily News" newspaper, June 1989 Kenneth Chamberlain, 66, of 146 John St., Kelso, died June 4, 1989, at Port Townsend, Wash. He was born March 27, 1923, in Falls City, Ore. Mr. Chamberlain has been a resident of the local area for 60 years, moving here from Oregon. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had worked as a millwright at Weyerhaeuser. He was a member of the Longview Eagles and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and clam digging at the coast. Mr. Chamberlain is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lillian, at home; a daughter, Sandra Welch of Kelso; a daughter and son-in-law, Theron and Cynthia Osborne of Castle Rock; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mary Chamberlain of Kelso, and Darrell and Debbie Chamberlain of Longview; three sisters, Mabel Ellingson of Fort Worth, Texas, Pauline Froelich of Kent, Wash., and Ruby Jensen of Boulder City, Nev.; four brothers, Floyd Chamberlain of Vancouver, Harold Chamberlain,Sr. of Longview, Melvin Chamberlain of Kelso and Allen Chamberlain of Joplin, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. thursday at Whittle-Hubbard Cemetery, Castle Rock, with the Rev. Willy Millus of Prosser, Wash., officiating. Friends and family may pay their respects till 8 this evening and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. wednesday. Hubbard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
