Esswein Funeral services for E.K. Esswein, who died Tuesday, will be held this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church. Esswein died in Vancouver at the age of 79. He was born Sept. 26, 1879 in Nebraska, and had lived in Woodland 42 years. He was a retired millwright, and a member of the Lutheran Church in Stanton, Neb. He is survived by his wife, Loma of Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Sheets, Vancouver, and Mrs. Inez Freese, Seattle; one grandchild; two brothers, Adolph of Encino, Calif., and Carl of Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Olga McHugh, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Hedwig Schulz, Portland, and Mrs. Laura Pollock of Norfolk, Neb. The Rev. Lee Andres will officiate at the Saturday service. Burial will be in the Woodland IOOF Cemetery. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge.
