Funeral Held Today for Joel Haapa

Services were held today (Thursday) at Vancouver Funeral Home for Joel Hubert
Haapa, 55, who died at his Woodland home Sunday, Mar. 31.


Haapa had lived in the Woodland area 46 years, and was a veteran of World War
II.  He was born Oct. 6, 1901 in Lead, N.D.
 

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Haapa of Woodland, and Mrs. Ina Wik of
Tujanga, Calif., a brother, Arthur J. Haapa, Woodland.
 

Pallbearers were Hugo Wik, Louis Meyer, Ted Kallgren, John Youngman, Dave
Yytinen and Carl Ruestig.


Private committal was in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.  Woodland
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
