Heald who died Saturday in Seattle at the age of 83. He had lived there the past eight years. Mr. Heald came to Woodland in 1907 and operated the Turner and Pease Creamery for many years. In the early years of the business he collected cream through LaCenter and Highland areas with a team and wagon. He took an active part in the civic life of Woodland, serving on the City Council, School Board, as city clerk and as mayor. Mr. Heald was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, IOOF and Sylvan Rebekah Lodges. In September, 1908, he was married to Mary Chatterson, who preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Tom Heald of Oakland, Calif., and a daughter Mrs. Leona Heald of Seattle, and two grandchildren. The Rev. Lee Andrews officiated at the funeral service at the Presbyterian church. Vault internment followed at the IOOF cemetery. Woodland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
