OBITUARY - AMON BEBE Submitted by: Leona Johnson, bell_crazy2000 at yahoo dot com Source: "The Daily News," Longview, Cowlitz Co., WA, 13 Dec 1986 Amon Bebe, 85, of 107 Bebe Road E., Castle Rock, died Dec 12, 1986, in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1901, in Castle Rock. He was a life long area resident, a lifetime member of the Sunnyside Grange and a lifetime member of the Cowlitz Historical Society. He also was a member of the Washington Farm Foresty Association and the Weyerhaeuser Tree Farm Families. He was a supporter of the Castle Rock Fair from its inception, and a former Cowlitz County game warden, a former district administrator for the state Division of Forestry, now the Depatment of Natural Resources. He was long a Conservationist and was responsible for the reforestation of many small area tree farms. As a young man, he was an accomplished violinist and played in several local dance bands. He was a retired district fire warden for the state of Washington. He is survived by one son, Alden Bebe of Castle Rock; and one stepson, three stepdaughters and one grandchild, Kimberly Bebe, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no services. Friends may call at Hubbard Funeral Home until 9 p.m. today, between 1 and 9 p,m. Sunday and between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday. Private interment will be at Whittle-Hubbard Cemetery.
