OBITUARY - IRVINA (KLAGER) VAN EATON Submitted by: Judy Card, JCard20983 at aol dot com Source: "Lewis River News," Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA, 1 Aug 1957 VanEaton Funeral Held Wednesday Funeral services were conducted Wednesday for Mrs. Irvina Klager Van Eaton, 51, who died Saturday in a Vancouver hospital. Mrs. VanEaton was the granddaughter of two Lewis pioneer families, Frank and Hulda Klager, and Berrick and Emily Guild. She was born July 4, 1906 in Woodland and has been a local resident her entire life. She is a graduate of Woodland High school and received her master’s degree at the University of Washington. She was a member of the Woodland Presbyterian church, Order of Easter Star of Woodland and Yacolt, Woodland Grange and the Garden club. Mrs. VanEaton taught school 10 years at Battleground and three years in Kelso. Survivers include: husband, J. M. (Mack) VanEaton, Woodland; stepson, Mack V. VanEaton, Seattle; half brother, Fred Wilke, Seattle; half sister, Clara Wing, Wamic, Ore. Services were conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Walter Peterson. Burial followed at the Odd Fellows cemetery. Woodland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
