OBITUARY - EDMOND WILKE Submitted by: Judy Card, JCard20983 at aol dot com Source: "Lewis River News," Woodland, Cowlitz Co., WA, 1 May 1936 Edmond Wilke Dies Saturday Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church for Edmond Wilke, age 57 who died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Clara Wing at Wamic, Ore., after a lingering illness. Mr. Wilke has been a lifelong resident of Woodland, leaving here last February. He is survived by one son, Freddie of Woodland and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Wing and Miss Irvina Guild, both of Wamic, Ore. Rev. James E. Faucett officiated during the services. Two vocal duets, “Jesus Lover of My Soul” and “Lead Kindly Light” were sung by Mrs. Leona Heald. Pall bearers were Al Schiewe, B. M. Luck, Dede Tesch, J. D. Oliver, ? Rieger and Carl Tesch. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery beside his wife who died about a year ago. Arrangements were in charge of C. H. Callows and son of The Dalles, Oregon.
