OBITUARY - LYLE LESLIE HAMPTON LAROY Submitted by: Leona Johnson, bell_crazy2000 at yahoo dot com Source: "The Daily News," Longview, Cowlitz Co., WA Lyle Leslie Hampton Laroy, 74, of Castle Rock, died June 8, 1994, at St Johns Medical Center. He was born May 24, 1920 in Portland, to Floyd and Olive (Hampton) Laroy. Mr Laroy was employed in the shingle industry and worked as an appliance repairman as a school custodian, for which he was awarded a citation for his commitment to the students. His main interest in life was his family. He also enjoyed fishing, camoing, gardening, especially roses, rock hounding and sports. He was active in early Kelso youth baseball and in the construction of the original Tam O'Shanter Park. Survivors include his wife, Bette at home; a son Tom Laroy of Castle Rock; two daughters, Jerianne Hansen and Cathy Francisco, both of Kelso; a sister, Rita Krueger of Hillsboro, Ore.; and five grandchildren. A brother, William died in 1986. Ne service will be held at Mr Laroys request. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Columbia Funeral Services.
