Jack R. Gilbert, 65, of 1112 Tenant Way, Longview, died July 4, 1992 at St Johns
Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1927, in PeEll, Wa. Mr Gilbert came to the
local area in 1930 from PeEll, Wa. He was employed with International Paper
Company for 27 years, retiring as a chip inspector in 1989. He was a member of
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Kelso, Catlin Grange, Cowlitz Valley Moose,
Longview Eagles Lodge, IWA Retiries, Kelso Elks, Longview Masonic Lodge, Cowlitz
Scottish Rite, and Longview York Rite.   He is survived by his mother Juliette
Bairsto of Kelso; his father and stepmother, Ron and Maxine Gilbert of Federal
Way; two nieces, Chris Rheaume of Longview, and Claudia Voyles of Winlock; and a
nephew Larry Nolan of Deer Lodge, Mont. He was preceded in death by a sister,
Shirley Nolan in 1985.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. wednesday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, with Rev
Carol Plummer officiating. A Masonic Commital service will be held afterward at
Longview Memoriel Park. Columbia Funeral Service is in charge.
