(Heaton) Doble of 926 Delaware St., Longview died July 10, 1984 in a local hospital at the age of 88. She was born April 17, 1896 at Fort Sheridan, Ill., and came to Kelso in 1929. Prior to moving to Longview she had resided at Cowlitz Gardens for 35 years. She and husband Frank Heaton owned and operated Cowlitz County Credit Bureau. After his death the business was sold and she went to work at Cowlitz Valley Bank, where she was employed for many years. Mrs. Doble was a member of Business and Professional Women, a charter member and longtime secretary/treasurer for Kelso Ladies of Elks and secretary/treasurer of the Pythian Sisters for 26 years. She was preceded in death by husband Wilbert Doble. Survivors include two sons, Noel Heaton of Kelso and Ira Heaton of Longview; a stepson, Wayne Doble of Longview; a stepdaughter, Noreen Spooner of Kelso; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Ditlevsen-Moore Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Williams officiating. Private inurnment will be at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens.
