Ellen Elizabeth Davis, 90, of Castle Rock, died Feb. 4, 1998, in a Centralia care facility after a long illness with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Jan. 6, 1908, in Wilmot, S.D. to John and Margaret (Mallory) Frymire, and had lived in the Castle Rock area since 1913. Mrs Davis was a homemaker. In earlier years she had been active in the local grange. Many times, she spoke to her family of the early days she shared with her late husband Ellis, and the grange dances they attended, which were a delightful memory for her. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Childs of Castle Rock; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, most of whom live in the local area. It was Mrs Davis wish to have her remains cremated and to have no formal service. Her family will carry her ashes to Whittle=Hubbard Cemetery from Hubbard Funeral Home about 1 p.m. Saturday. Members of the community are invited to walk with the family or to meet at the grave site. For those wishing to offer condolences, family members wish to advise them that her daughter, Margaret, will be unable to participate due to her incapacity from Alzheimer's.
