Mrs. Hendricksen Dies Suddenly At Astoria Sunday Mrs. Maria Christina Hendricksen, age 68, a resident of Longview or vicinity for the past 15 years, died suddenly on Sunday at Astoria while on a visit there. Mrs. Hendrickson collapsed as she was leaving the West End Apostolic Lutheran church. She was in Astoria to attend a special fall service at the church, and was staying at the home of her son, William Hendrickson, since her arrival Saturday. She was rushed to Columbia hospital but pronounced dead on arrival there. She was born in Finmark, Norway, October 21, 1865, and had been a resident of Quincy, Ore., for 22 years prior to moving to Longview. She was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Nels Berg Hendricksen; three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Laulainen, Mrs. Emmanuel Kaunisto and Elsie Hendricksen ; of Longview; seven sons, Martin, Oscar, John, and Isaac Hendricksen, Longview; Henry Hendrickson, Portland; Chris Hendricksen, Holbrook, Ore., and William Hendricksen, Astoria; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Krum, Quincy, Ore; and a sister Mrs. Matilda Tolva, Ilwaco, and another sister in Norway. Funeral services are to be held at the Trinity Lutheran church here on Wednesday at 1 o'clock. The Rev. Heideman of Calumet, Mich., who has been preaching in Astoria will officiate. Interment will be in Longview Memorial Park. The C. W. Karlson and Son funeral home in Astoria is in charge.
