OBITUARY - GUY JACKSON Submitted by: Leona Johnson, bell_crazy2000 -at- yahoo -dot- com Source: "The Daily News", Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington, 13 Nov 1939 Guy Jackson, 66, passed away Sunday morning in his home in the Graham apartments, following a heart attack. He was the son of Elisha and Cynthia Jackson who came to the Arkansas district in 1853. Mr. Jackson was born in Castle Rock, Dec. 24, 1872. With the exception of three years spent in Iowa, from which he returned in 1907, he had lived in this community continuously. He operated the Dinty Morre Lunch Counter for the past 16 years until his recent illness. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Emma Moore, Centralia, Mrs. Lydia Bird and Mrs. Della Ott and Pard, Castle Rock, Alvia, Portland; and four brothers Lewis Puyallup and Clyde, Hoquian. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hubbard chapel with the Rev. E. R. Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the pioneer Jackson cemetery in West Castle Rock.
