"Pioneer Farmer is Removed by Death" Pat Baxter, 84, pioneer Cowlitz county logger and farmer, who came to this county in 1866, died at his home here Monday following a long illness. He was born in Montreal, Can., Nov. 15, 1847, and came to the Pacific coast in 1866. He married Sophia Wohl in 1889. She died many years ago. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Nora Martin, Kelso; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; three brothers, Dan Baxter, Kelso; Mark Baxter, Vancouver, Wash., and John Baxter, Boyds, Wash., and three sisters, Mrs. Oliver Martin, Kelso, and Mrs. Sarah LaPierre and Mrs. Alice Bison, Montreal, Can.
