Lanphear -- Woodland A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Woodland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Geneva Annetta Lanphear, who died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at home. She was 83. Mrs. Lanphear lived in Woodland 62 years. She was born May 14, 1919, in Kelso. She enjoyed writing poetry and articles for the Lewis River News. She enjoyed music and handcrafts and loved flowers. Mrs. Lanphear was a longtime member of Woodland Grange. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Delmore, at home; three daughters, Gayle Atchley of Kelso, JoAnn Draper of Portland and Lori Carroll of Vancouver; one son, Duane of Woodland; three brothers, George Parsons and Stanley Parsons, both of Rose Valley, Wash., and Donald Parsons of Longview; three sisters, Arlene Clement of Kelso, Shirley Jackson of Longview and Carol DeWolfe of Winlock, Wash.; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A son, Jimmy, died in 1989. A graveside service at Rose Valley Cemetery will follow the funeral. The casket will be open from noon to 5 p.m. today at Woodland Funeral Home.
