Laulainen - Mrs. Sophia W., 68, Kelso, died in a local hospital Nov. 9. Born in
Clatskanie, Ore., Aug. 18, 1886. Came to Coal Creek and Willow Grove district in
1910, moving to Kelso in 1939. Survivors include widower, Oscar Laulainen; three
sons, Aldevin Laulainen, Rudolph Laulainen and William Laulainen, all of
Longview; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Kaunisto of Longview; six brothers, Martin
Hendrickson, John Hendrickson, Oscar Hendrickson and Isaac Hendrickson all of
Longview, William Hendrickson of Astoria, and Chris Hendrickson of Portland; 14
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of the finnish
Apostolic Lutheran Church, Longview. Funeral services will be held Saturady,
Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Longview, with Rev. H. Stanley
Holman and Rev. T. Ojalehto of Clatskanie officiating. Vault interment will be
in Mt. Solo Cemetery. The Reardon-McVicker Funeral Home is in charge.
