Bergquist, 85, of Kelso, died July 20, 2003, at St. John Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1918, in Pullman, Wash., to O.C. and Josie (Coleman) Maston. She was a graduate of Albion High School in Albion, Wash. She married Melvin W. Bergquist Oct. 16, 1939, in Longview. Mrs. Bergquist enjoyed reading, puzzles, Mariner's games and keeping a diary of daily events. She especially enjoyed Friday lunches with her family. In her youth, she loved to dance and listen to the Old Time Fiddlers. Survivors include her husband of 63 years at home; three daughters, Marlene Faught, Phyllis Westervelt and Cheryl Ylonen, all of Longview; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Wray and Bernice Gibson; and a brother, H. Benjamin Maston. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Steele Chapel with Don Sheldon officiating. Private entombment will take place at Longview Memorial Park. The viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O.
