OBITUARY - CALVIN M. CLINE Submitted by: Pat, Source: he Olympan (Olympia, WA), March 1992 Calvin M. Cline, 81, a resident of Olympia for 58 years, died Monday, March 9, 1992, in Panorama City Convalescent Center, Lacey. He was born Feb. 4, 1911, to Walter and Zenobia (Weaver) Cline, in Pine Bluff, Ark. His family moved to Longview when he was very young. He was married to Iris Rohr on April 4, 1936, in Olympia. Mr. Cline worked as a latheman for Georgia-Pacific Plywood for 34 years and as a security guard for the Olympia Brewery for eight years, before retiring in 1980. He was one of the founding members of the Black Lake Volunteer Fire Department and continued service for 27 years. He was a past member of the Black Lake Grange. Surviving Mr. Cline, besides his wife of the family home are two sons, Gerald, Snohomish, and Clifford, Gales Ferry, Conn.; two daughters, Rebecca Stillwell, Olympia, and Vicky Davey, Selah; two sisters, Elizabeth Arveson and Ethel Marquis, both of Longview; also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jess, and a granddaughter, Kathy. There will be a private family memorial service for Mr. Cline. Private inurnment will be in Olympic Memorial Gardens, Tumwater.
