"PIONEER STELLA WOMAN IS DEAD Mrs. Mary Parsons, 57, Dies in Longview Hospital Funeral is Sunday Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Parsons, age 57, a pioneer who had resided in Cowlitz county some 50 years, died this morning at the Longview Memorial hospital. She had lived in the vicinity of Stella since coming to this part of the country from Kansas when a child of seven. Mrs. Parsons is survived by her husband, Leverett Parsons and by four sons, George, Tom, Harry, and James, and four daughters. Harry Parsons lives in Longview, Tom Parsons in Kelso, and George Parsons in Everett. The daughters are Mrs. Jessie Stanhope, Mrs. Mary Moore and Mrs. Edna Mason all of Portland and Abbie Beeler of Tacoma. Four brothers also survive. Funeral services will be held from the Nat R. Smith funeral home in Kelso Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. H. F. Ritz of the Central Christian church officiating. Internment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery." NOTE: There are errors in this, she was survived by five sons, Harry Alexander Parsons, James William Parsons (my great grandpa “Jim”), Jesse Stanhope Parsons ( "Jessie Stanhope" was not a daughter), George Leverett Parsons, Thomas Haywood Parsons; Daughter Abbie Beeler's name is also in error, her name was "Addie". Missing is daughter Mrs. Annetta Geil.
