Lewis County, WA Bill of Sale: D. G. Ainslie and wife To Ainslie Lumber Co. Know all Men by these Presents: That we D. G. Ainslie and Agnes Ainslie his wife, in consideration of Twenty-Six Thousand and eighty nine Dollars and twenty-eight cents ($26089.28) to us paid by the Ainslie Lumber Company, a Corporation, have bargained sold and transferred and by these do bargain sell assign set over transfer and convey into the said Ainslie Lumber Company all and singular the following described goods Chattels and personal property the same being situated at the town of Ainslie in the County of Lewis State of Washington to wit: That certain Saw-Mill known as the Ainslie Mill together with the engines boilers saws mill machinery apparatus fixtures equipment and appliances used with or pertaining to said Mill. Also that certain barn and stable used in connection with said Saw-Mill, also the small house near said barn and the store building used as a store by D. G. Ainslie. Also one extra boiler belonging with said Mill. Also the blacksmith shop and tools and outfit connected with said Mill. Also that certain tram road or logging road running from said Mill in a Northwesterly direction and being about one mile in length together with all the logging tools, logging cars chains yokes apparatus and appliances connected therewith. Also a certain lot of logs containing about six hundred thousand feet a portion of which are at said Mill, and a portion of which are in the creek above said Mill. Also nineteen (1y) yoke of work Oxen, together with the yokes used therewith. Also one span of horses, one set of double harness and one wagon used about said Mill. Also all the lumber upon the yard of said Mill and in and about the same. Also the timber upon the West one half of the Northwest quarter (1/4) of section eighteen (18) of township eleven (11) North of range two (2) West of the Willamette Meridian being the Simmons land together with the right to cut, remove and take away said timber from said land. Also all and singular the stock of goods wares and merchandise contained in the store at said town of Ainslie. Also all and singular all of the book accounts claims and demands due or owing to us or either of us from any person or persons whomsoever growing out of the business of said store the amount thereof being about $1544. Also all accounts claims and demands for lumber sold belonging to or growing out of the business of said Saw-Mill. Also the following described property situated at the city of Tacoma in Pierce County state of Washington towit: That certain stock or lot of lumber situated at a lumber yard known as the Ainslie Lumber Yard in said city of Tacoma. Also all of the book accounts claims and demands against all persons whomsoever growing or arising out 9of the said lumber business at said city of Tacoma and amounting to about $4704. Also all of the horses wagons harness machinery appliances furniture fixtures and outfit of the said Ainslie Lumber Yard; and also the goodwill of the business carried on thereat. To Have and to Hold the same unto the said Ainslie Lumber Company its successors and assigns forever and seals this ___day of March 1890 D. G. This certifies that on this 10th day of March 1890 before me William T. Byham a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforsaid personally appeared the above named D. G. Ainslie and Agnes Ainslie his wife to me known to be the individuals described in and who executed the foregoing Bill of Sale and Conveyance and they and each of them acknowledged to me that they executed signed sealed and delivered the same as their free and voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and the said Agnes Ainslie being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and after being by me made acquainted with the contents of said Bill of Sale and the effect of her signing the same then and there acknowledged to me that she executed signed sealed and delivered the same freely and voluntarily and as her free and voluntary act and deed and without fear coercion or compulsion from anyone and that she does not wish to retract the same.
