B. F. BELT

     Druggist by profession, and was born in Marion County, Oregon, in 1852, and
was reared in Salem.  In 1870 went into the drug business in partnership with D.
W. Cox, in Salem, and when that partnership was dissolved, formed another with
his father, Dr. A. M. Belt.  In 1872 he was married to Miss Mary Payton, by whom
he has five children -- Lizzie, Maud, Bessie, Frank, and Daniel.
