THE COMMERCIAL NATIONAL BANK Of Portland, Oregon, was organized on January 1, 1886, with a capital stock of $100,000. Two years later, the stock was increased to $150,000. In May, 1891, the capital stock was again increased, this time to $250,000 surplus and profits $175,000, its deposits being $1,682,248.70 and its total sources being, $2,155,897.99 Such figures explain themselves, and show a wonderful and successful business career of only five years, and also shows the popularity of the bank, and the estimate that its patrons have of it and its management.
