ISAAC CONSTANT Born in Clark county, Ky., on the 5th of April, 1809. The family started for the state of Illinois about the year 1812, but stopped at Green county, Ohio, and in the year 1820 arrived in Illinois, and settled in Sangamon county. Here Mr. Constant lived and was raised on a farm. He crossed the plains to Oregon in 1849, and being pleased with the country returned to Ills., in 1850. In 1852 he brought his family overland to Oregon and settled on his present ranch at Central Point. He married Lucinda Merryman, on the 14th of February, 1833.
