Olson as a guardian of the public health are fully appreciated by Salem's citizens, to whom his skill in dental surgery is well known, and his activities in connection with the Masonic order have brought him state-wide prominence. He was born December 23, 1883, in the state of New York, and is a son of August and Marian Olson. His father is a railroad employe and lives in Minnesota. Dr. Olson received his technical training in the Northern Pacific Dental College at Portland and was graduated with the class of 1915. For twelve years he has followed his profession in Salem and his practice has assumed large proportions. He keeps in close touch with all new developments in dental science and his work is facilitated by the most modern equipment. In 1908 Dr. Olson was united in marriage to Miss Clara E. Brandt, of Minnesota, and their attractive home is a center of the social life of Salem. Dr. Olson manifests a deep interest in the fruit industry and is King Bing of the Cherrians, an organization of which Oregon may well be proud. He is a Knight Templar Mason and Shriner and his work in behalf of the order constitutes an important chapter in the history of his life. He is a past master of Pacific Lodge, No. 50, F. & A.
