     Born in East Tennessee in 1832.  Coming to Oregon he settled in the
Luckiamute Valley, and has resided there since.  Is a carpenter and farmer.  He
married Emma Snelling in Benton County.  Children -- Dora , Minerva, George,
Thomas, and Richard.
