McNary has been superintendent of the Eastern Oregon State Hospital at Pendleton. He is a native of Washington, having been born in Klickitat county, that state. There he received his education, prepared for his professional career, and practiced for a short time. Since 1894 he has been connected with state hospital work, his first service being on the medical staff of the Oregon State Hospital at Salem. In 1906 he resigned from that position and went to Portland, where he practiced as a nerve specialist until 1912, when he became superintendent of the Eastern Oregon State Hospital at Pendleton, and is still serving in that capacity.
