Published in Olympia, Washington, 1914. p. 368. CHARLES HENRY AYER Charles Henry Aver was born in Saybrook, Connecticut, April 25, 1862. He studied in the public and private schools of the town, and completed the law course in Yale University. In 1884 he came to Olympia, Washington, and entered the law office of J. C. McPadden. He later went in business for himself and also formed several different partnerships, being associated for several years with the late T. N. Alien. He served one term as county attorney of Thurston County, and one term as mayor of Olympia. In 1896 he was elected superior judge of Thurston County, and filled that office at the time of his death March 9, 1898.
