RUSSEL THRALL

     deceased.  This pioneer was a native of Iowa. He emigrated to Clark County,
Washington Territory, in 1883. He was a brother-in-law to R. A. Brown (Deak)
having married a sister to Mrs. Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Thrall located in the
Monitor country in 1888 and acquired land which they proceeded to develop and
improve for a permanent home. In 1889 he left home for several months to seek
employment, and during this absence he contracted typhoid fever which resulted
fatally.  Soon after Mr. Thrall's death Mrs. Thrall with the two children
returned to Clark County.
