What follows is my best attempt at transcribing the map (since it is a copy of a copy, some of the text is hard to make out):
Top of page:
"which is a solacing scene to a man returning from the hurry of Business & tumult of a Camp ---" (this sentence is the last part of his entry for Oct. 29th, 1813 - the rest of text which follows relates to the map itself)
Text above map:
"A Representation of the Battle at the Forks of the River Thames on the 4th day of October, as stated in this journal -----
Text at bottom right of map:
"From the Fork at the river ? up above the Mill runs a waggon road and in the near for three miles is a bad swamp field with logs and bush thro which Col. Johnsons Regt. had to march."
