Arriving at the Park

The following photos were contributed by Junel Davidson, with photo credits to Susie Meyers. Following the luncheon at Monticello Hotel on November 24, 2002, everyone paraded over to the park where the commemoration ceremony was held. These pictures were taken during that ceremony.

This picture was taken as people assembled at the park after the luncheon. In foreground is James Wright, who was recording all the ceremonies at the park and at the hotel. Many others were also capturing this event!!

A second view of the crowd assembled at the park - this view continues to the left of the first picture. Can you find yourself in these pictures?

Two members of the Color Guard stand at attention before the start of the ceremony. Notice the many generations of people who participated in this event.
