OBITUARY - ALICE EDNA RUSSELL Submitted by: Kenny Palmer, genealogypro98632@yahoo.com Source: "The Daily News," Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington, Friday, 16 Jul 2004 Alice Edna Russell, 76, of Castle Rock, passed away on July 13, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born on May 8, 1928 in Castle Rock to Clifford and Lila (Guier) Johnson. She attended school in Castle Rock. In 1954 she married Frank Russell in Kelso. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker. She was a member of the Longview Eagles, Kelso Rebekkah Lodge and the Sunnyside Grange. She was also a league bowler for many years at the Hilander Bowl/Starlight Lanes. Mrs. Russell enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, camping, picnics and family outings. She was a very loving person with a heart of gold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O. Russell in 1997; and by two sisters. Survivors include two sons, Mike Russell of Kelso and Pat Russell of Castle Rock; loving companion, Jerry Machen at home; brother, George Johnson of Longview; two step-brothers, Alden Bebe of Castle Rock and Rodney Jones of Kelso; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 9am-5pm on Saturday, July 17th at Columbia Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Monday, July 19th at Columbia Funeral Chapel.
